1. Time Conversion
Built for developers and data processing, these tools convert Unix timestamps (seconds or milliseconds) to and from readable dates. Use the Timestamp Converter for batch conversion and multi-timezone handling, the Date to Timestamp tool to parse many input formats, and the Beijing Time page to read the current Unix timestamp live. Ideal for backend debugging, log analysis and data cleaning.
2. Calendar & Lunar Dates
Traditional calendar tools. Check 1900–2100 Gregorian/lunar dates in the Perpetual Calendar; view daily ganzhi and dos and don'ts in the Chinese Almanac; convert both ways with Solar to Lunar and Lunar to Solar; look up all 24 Solar Terms across the year; watch the Spring Festival Countdown to see the days left; see the current lunar date plus the next solar term or holiday countdown in Beijing Time; map ancient Chinese hours to modern time with Chinese Hours; cast birth charts and five elements in the Bazi Calculator; and look up zodiac animals, sound elements and ganzhi by year in Zodiac Years.
3. Clocks & Timers
Practical timers and clock-calibration tools. Beijing Time shows China Standard Time (UTC+8) to the millisecond, along with the lunar date, weekday, today/month/year progress and time differences to major world cities; Online Alarm sets reminders with 5-minute shortcuts or a custom time; Online Stopwatch offers millisecond timing and lap records; and World Clock shows the current time in more than 20 major cities.
4. Date Calculations
Date calculation and lookup tools. Age Calculator works out exact age, the traditional Chinese nominal age, and your zodiac sign and animal; Workday Calculator counts workdays while excluding weekends and public holidays; Weekday Lookup tells you the day of the week for any date; Retirement Calculator applies the 2025 delayed-retirement policy; Days Lived counts the time from birth to now; and 2026 Holiday Schedule shows this year's public holidays and makeup workdays.
Time Tools FAQ
What is timestamp conversion and what is it for?
A Unix timestamp is the number of seconds or milliseconds since 1970-01-01 00:00:00 UTC, and computers use it to store time consistently. Timestamp conversion turns a number like "1719158400" into a human-readable date, or the other way round. Developers rely on it to debug numeric times returned by APIs, query databases by time range, and collaborate across time zones.
What is the difference between the Chinese lunar calendar and the yin calendar?
The yin calendar follows the moon cycle (about 29.5 days), so 12 months total roughly 354 days — about 11 days short of the solar year. The Chinese lunar calendar adds the 24 solar terms and leap months so its years align with the tropical year, making it a lunisolar calendar. What people casually call the "lunar" calendar usually means the Chinese calendar. This site offers both solar-to-lunar and lunar-to-solar converters in the Calendar & Lunar category above.
How do I convert times around the world?
The world is divided into 24 time zones. Beijing (UTC+8) is 8 hours ahead of London (UTC+0) and 12–13 hours ahead of New York (UTC-5/UTC-4). To convert, subtract the local offset from the target city offset. For example, when it is 22:00 in Beijing it is 10:00 (winter) or 09:00 (summer) the same day in New York. Use this site's World Clock to see the current time in major cities.
How does the workday calculator count?
The workday calculator first finds the natural-day gap between two dates, then subtracts the Saturdays and Sundays in between to get a workday count excluding weekends. If public-holiday exclusion is enabled it also removes New Year, Spring Festival, Qingming, Labour Day, Dragon Boat, Mid-Autumn and National Day holidays, without double-counting when a holiday overlaps a weekend. Makeup workdays can offset the total. See the Workday Calculator page under Date Calculations above.
