About Sorghum

A traditional coarse grain with abundant dietary fiber.

Health Benefits of Sorghum

Rich in fiber and B vitamins

Sorghum is an ancient coarse grain with about 4.3g/100g fiber, above white rice (0.3g), plus B vitamins and minerals such as iron and potassium. As a staple its nutrient density beats refined grains.

Best mixed with rice

Sorghum rice is coarse and hard to digest alone. Mix 1:3 with rice for rice or porridge to add whole grains while keeping palatability. Sorghum is also the key grain for baijiu (distilled liquor).
