About fu qiang fen

A refined wheat flour with a low extraction rate, white in color and fine in texture.

Health Benefits of fu qiang fen

Balanced protein and fat

100g of fu-qiang-fen (fine refined flour) has 9.5g protein, 75g carbs and 0.8g fat. It is a low-extraction white flour with most bran and germ removed, giving a fine white texture and good gluten - ideal for mantou, baozi and dumpling wrappers.

Moderate gluten, pair with coarse grains

Its moderate gluten content and good extensibility produce smooth, fine doughs for white finished products like steamed buns, flower rolls and pot sticker wrappers. For chewier items such as pulled noodles, blend with high-gluten flour.

Coarse-fine pairing is more balanced

Milling removes most of the bran fiber (only 1.2g/100g) and B vitamins. Mix in whole-wheat or coarse-grain flour (about 4:1) in daily cooking to keep texture while adding fiber and micronutrients.
