About QR Code Generation

Enter text or a URL to generate the matching QR code image. Error-correction levels are selectable: L suits simple cases, H suits cases where a logo overlays the code. Generation runs locally in your browser. To verify a QR code’s content, use the QR code decoder; for embedding in a page you can also use image to Base64.

QR Code Use Cases

Sharing URLs: encode a long link as a QR code for easy phone scanning; Wi-Fi connection: encode the SSID and password so guests join by scanning; Digital business cards: encode name, phone and email as vCard; Payments: WeChat/Alipay merchant codes let customers scan to pay.

FAQ

What is the difference between error-correction levels?

Level L can recover about 7% of damaged area, M about 15%, Q about 25% and H about 30%. Level M is fine for everyday use; if you embed a logo in the code, use H to leave more error-tolerance margin.

Is there a limit to the generated QR code size?

You can choose 128px, 256px or 512px. The number of characters a QR code holds grows with its size; small sizes suit business cards, large sizes suit poster printing.

What content can be turned into a QR code?

Any text content — text, URLs, phone numbers and more. Common uses include link redirects, Wi-Fi password sharing, digital vCards and event sign-up links.

Do generated QR codes expire?

Static QR codes do not expire; as long as the pattern is intact they work forever. To verify a QR code’s content, use the QR code decoder to read it back.
