Random Number Generator

Custom range / De-duplicate / Sort / Decimals / Zero-pad

Use Cases

Useful for lottery number generation, random grouping, test-data seeding and statistical sampling. For event draws, also try the Lucky Draw; to generate mock data, use the Random Data Generator.

FAQ

Can it generate non-repeating random numbers?

Yes. Tick "De-duplicate" and the generated list will contain no repeated values. Note: if the requested count exceeds the range size (e.g. asking for 11 unique numbers from a range of 1-10), the tool reports that the range is too small.

Can the random number generator be used for a draw?

Yes. Set the minimum, maximum and count, tick "De-duplicate" and choose ascending/descending sort to produce a set of random draw numbers. For a fuller draw experience (entering a name list, animations, etc.), we suggest our Lucky Draw tool.

What are the limits on decimal places?

Decimal places support 0-10. Set to 0 for integers; set to a positive number for that precision (e.g. 2 decimals produces numbers like 122.78). With "Zero-pad" ticked, missing places are padded with zeros (e.g. 100.00) to keep the output format consistent.
