JSON Converter - JSON to XML / YAML / CSV / TOML
Convert JSON data to XML, YAML, CSV, or TOML in one click
About this JSON Converter
This tool converts JSON data to XML, YAML, CSV, or TOML in a single click. We recommend validating your JSON first with the JSON Validator, because invalid syntax will cause the conversion to fail.
Conversion Notes per Format
JSON to XML
Converts a JSON object into an indented XML string with keys mapped to tags. Useful for SOAP/WebService integrations or any workflow that relies on XSLT/XPath processing of data.
JSON to YAML
Converts JSON into YAML, removing braces and quotes and using indentation to show hierarchy, which is easier to read. Widely used for Kubernetes configuration, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI), and Docker Compose.
JSON to CSV
Requires JSON to be an object array (for example [{"a":1},{"a":2}]), where the keys of each element become CSV column headers. Ideal for exporting data to Excel/WPS or importing into a database.
JSON to TOML
Requires JSON to be an object, which is then converted to the TOML config format. Commonly used in Rust/Python/Go project configuration files such as Cargo.toml and pyproject.toml.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if JSON to CSV conversion fails?
CSV requires JSON to be an array of objects, where every element is an object. If your JSON is a single object or a nested structure, flatten it into an array of objects first.
Why are the XML tag names not what I expected?
Conversion maps JSON keys to XML tag names. If a key contains characters that are not allowed in XML, such as spaces, use the JSON Formatter to review the key names against XML naming rules first.
Can the converted file be used in production directly?
The output is syntactically valid, but we recommend reviewing it against the target system's conventions, such as whether an XML declaration header is required or whether the CSV delimiter should be semicolons.
Can this tool handle very large JSON files?
We recommend keeping the JSON file under 5 MB. For very large files, use a command-line tool such as yq or dasel to perform the conversion.
